We’re excited to share that today we’re celebrating Joana’s one year anniversary at Credix! Her contributions have been significant to the Credit Origination and Structuring team and a lot of FinTechs had the chance to meet this energized individual. We sat together with her to reflect on his past year. Read on to learn how she experienced it!

Reflecting on the past year, could you share a standout achievement that you’re particularly proud of?

Screening more than 200 credit FinTechs in Latin America, building strong relationships with these companies, understanding their needs, and establishing a solid pipeline for Credix has been my main accomplishment.

The last 12 months have been very busy in a positive way. With so many opportunities it’s important to stay focused but at the same time, we can’t ignore trends and tweak our strategy accordingly. These transformations were driven by a large number of conversations, and translating valuable insights and direct feedback from the market into concrete, actionable steps for Credix has undoubtedly been a fun challenge.

I’m excited to keep rolling out the USD 60 million credit facility we secured in Q4 2023, especially with such a strong pipeline in play.

What is your favorite part of working for the company?

The global aspect of our business is certainly my favorite part. Engaging with people from diverse places and cultures, and collaborating with such a diverse — and yet in harmony — team has been truly enriching.

If you could offer a piece of advice to your future self one year from now, what would it be?

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned in this past year working at Credix is the importance of being present and attentive. Asking questions and truly listening, paying attention to details, filtering out the negative, and absorbing the positive — these are skills I intend to keep developing throughout my professional journey. If I could share some advice with my future self one year from now, I would definitely reinforce this.

What’s your favorite merchandise item?

The hat is my favorite item, for sure. And I would even say that it is also my friends’ favorite item, as I’ve “lost” 2 hats since I joined…
