Inside Credix — Laura's 1 year Milestone
Laura Meyvis has been one year at Credix! For the last 12 months, Laura has been overseeing our HR practices with a lot of joy and energy, from engaging initiatives and activities to hiring campaigns, interviews, and personal growth projects. This special Inside Credix is dedicated to her!
Reflecting on the past year, could you share a standout achievement that you’re particularly proud of?
Working within an international FinTech involves a lot of research and exploring diverse HR aspects across different countries. Being involved in shaping our HR strategy and bringing it to practice over the past year is what I’m most proud of. On top of that, the founders created a genuinely special work culture and it gives me pride to play a nurturing role in it. Seeing the entire team not just embrace but truly live and breathe this culture, is the cherry on top of the cake.
What is your favorite part of working for the company?
Being a people person — I know, shocking coming from HR — the first thought that comes to mind is getting to work with amazing people, who each bring their unique value to the company. On top of that, each day brings something new, making this past year an incredibly inspiring and fantastic learning experience. I truly never had more fun practicing a ‘job’. Because, when is it work when you love what you are doing? → Did I mention that we’re hiring? All jokes aside, it has been an amazing journey, and I can’t wait to see what the next year will bring!
If you could offer a piece of advice to your future self one year from now, what would it be?
Many things come to mind: Be curious and keep asking questions. It’s okay if things don’t go as expected, as long as you keep trying, think with a beginner’s mind, and never settle. And most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy the ride! You know what they say, “Time flies when you’re having fun”. But WOW, 2023 where did you go?!
What’s your favorite merchandise item?
Besides the super comfy clothing line Credix rolled out over the past 2 years, the Credix wallet truly was a game-changer. It’s compact, stylish, and very easy to use.
