Credora Maple Pool: Reduced Lock-up Period (30 Days)
Flexibility — Risk Management — Transparent Credit Markets
Credora reduced the lock-up period for the Maple Solana pool following recent Maple support for open-term loans, making it one of the most liquid, diversified, and transparent credit pools in DeFi. The reduced lock-up period, from 90 to 30 days, allows lenders increased flexibility and certainty. The recently released open-term functionality means that Credora can recall outstanding loans to create liquidity for lenders if they request capital back from the pool. Additionally, Credora can recall or reprice outstanding loans based on real-time changes to creditworthiness and market conditions. The new features enable enhanced risk management for the Credora Maple Pool.
Flexibility and Better Risk Management
The crypto ecosystem has a heightened demand for liquidity following recent credit events. The changes to the pool structure aim to ensure lenders have more capital available at times of need. Open-term loans give Credora the required flexibility to manage asset and liability durations, ensuring ultimate liquidity for pool allocators. The changes apply to all existing pool depositors, whose lock-up periods will be 30-days from their deposit date.
The Credora Maple pool has originated nearly $100m in loans with an average yield of 9.5% and duration of 78 days, with zero defaults. Credora issued its first open-term loan of $4m to Ledger Prime on September 11, 2022.
Credora’s real-time and privacy-preserving credit evaluation enables unparalleled transparency of borrowers. The changes in pool structure are complementary to Credora’s technology, and allow more active risk management in the event of changes to a borrower’s creditworthiness, whether it drives a recall or repricing of an outstanding loan.
