‘Biking Queens’ is one of those popular riding groups of India that has made a substantial mark in the Women Motorcycle Riding Groups in our country. Sarika Mehta, the founder of this empowering Superbikes Group based in Surat, created this clan of Women Motorcycle Riders to create respect for Female riding and uplift hidden potential of females in Surat. The prime focus of this gr
oup is riding for passion and fulfilling a cause, and this seems like the
most viable and unique platform to do it.
The name ‘Biking Queens’ was given to them by a magazine edition after seeing their exceptional work and effort in social causes pioneered by their Rides.
‘Biking Queens’ is based in Surat, Gujarat; they’ve travelled extensively across different states and also made appearances at various biking fests across the country. Few members have also ridden in national and International rides and have mastered track training and experience.
The Queens plan and ride every month, be it short rides or long. It all boils down to schedules and availability. If they think they don’t have time, they just make time! Depending on that, they decide
if they have to keep their rides short or long. Their recent trip has been to the Most Popular Biking Event of our country, India Bike Week 2016
Consisting of about 45 members, the ‘Biking Queens’ define their group in three words namely, “Passion-Respect-Contribution”. Every word emphasizes a bigger picture about the work and dedica
tion of their group.
One of the most memorable rides for the Queens has been their first long ride kicking off from Surat to Mount Abu! That is one memory they will have forever latched on to each one of them. An equally close second would be their monsoon ride to Saputara Mountain.
The Biking Queens have made a big difference not only for the women riders in India, but also various other social aspects of our country. Our respect goes out to each one of them!
