Honda Navi’s on-road price is more than 50,000 INR

Honda created quite a buzz when they launched the NAVI at 39,500 INR at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The bike was aimed at the youth, with a number of cool variants available.

They garnered 1,000 bookings very quickly and the bike became an instant hit. But, it seems, Honda has pulled a fast one on its prospective customers. After factoring in road tax and essential accessories, the price of the bike goes up to 50,000 INR on-road. The essential accessories include side stand, number plates, leg-guards and engine guards. On-road prices of the special edition bikes would go above 60,000/- since they have several accessories on board.

This means that consumers will have to pay a whopping 10,000 INR to bring the bike home. This kind of advertising is misleading. The bike was aimed to capture the attention of the youth, who are on a strict budget.

The Navi is powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder engine which comes with HET (Honda Eco Technology) and produces 7.83 hp at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm matched to an automatic transmission.

Deliveries of the bike start soon.
