Suzuki Gixxer to get EFI by end of 2016

Suzuki recently launched the disc braked version of the Gixxer, but the electronic fuel injection variant has not been seen as yet. Suzuki has been suggesting that the bike with EFI will make a debut only by the end of 2016.

This is seen as more of a marketing gimmick, as Suzuki wants to create a buzz for every update. They could’ve launched the EFI variant along with the disc brake variant, but they did not. This way they create a greater buzz, hence increasing attention from possible customers!

The EFI model will only be available in the MotoGP livery, with a prominent EFI badge on the side. The bike could cost as much as Rs. 5,000–10,000 more.

Powering the bike would be the same 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol motor, but power and torque figures could vary by a small margin.
