TVS Akula 310 could be called ‘Apache RTR 300’
TVS is all set to break records with its TVS Akula 310, which it plans to launch during the festive season this year.
The TVS Akula 310, which was shown at the AutoExpo as a concept bike, is all set for its laucnh. It is based on the BMW G 310 R and comes packed with goodies like ABS, Pirelli tyres, USD forks, radial calipers, etc. The bike borrows the same 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from BMW which churns out a whooping 34 BHP and 28 NM.
Since this bike is one of the most expensive bikes coming from the TVS stable, TVS plans to call it the ‘Apache RTR 300’. Apache has a huge fan-following in the country and TVS wants to leverage that to boost sales.
The bike definitely goes to prove how dynamic and fast the Indian 2-wheeler market is. This bike will also mark the start of a very long partnership between TVS and BMW.
