Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR launched at Rs. 52,000
Yamaha is trying very hard to gain a sizeable market share in the scooter segment. Shortly after launching the new Saluto RX, they have now launched the Cygnus Ray-ZR scooter for the Indian market.
The scooter was developed as a concept of a “Next-Generation Real Boy’s Scooter” and was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The scooter is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, 113cc “BLUE CORE” engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) unit. The engine claims to give the best in class mileage of 66 kmpl* (*under standard test conditions).
The bike also has plenty of storage space, a newly designed instrument cluster with excellent readability and tubeless tyres.
The drum brake model will retail at 52,000 INR while the disc brake model will retail at 54,500 INR (Ex-showroom Delhi).
There’s no big product launch announced officially by the brand in the near future. The Japanese manufacturer is however expected to update the existing lineup with new livery.
