Yamaha reveals the Tracer 700
Yamaha showcased it’s rival to the Kawasaki Versys 650, the Tracer 700. This is Yamaha’s latest entrant into the adventure tourer in the middle-weight category, which is slowly gaining momentum around the world.
The bike is powered by a 689cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol engine from the MT-07 which produces 75 HP of power & 68 Nm of torque. The bike has a huge frame, with a wheelbase of 1,450mm and a seat height of 845mm.
The bike gets adjustable windsheild and a fuel tank capacity of 17L. As part of accessories, Yamaha will offer 20L soft panniers and a 39L top box.
It’s unsure if this bike will come to India.
Yamaha has been rather slow in responding to the increasing superbike demand in India. While almost every top superbike manufacturer around the world trying to leverage this spike in customer interest, Yamaha has not really introduced products at the right time in this high end segment.
