It’s time to spring back into spring! That means we are back to talking about the Spring Releases because now these features will go into effect. And just to reassure you, all of the April 1st events are happening; don’t worry they are not April Fools jokes. So sit back, open up your calendars and let’s get planning!

If you have heard of the Gaming for Good podcast, then you may be interested in this event! On Tuesday, March 30th at 1pm (GMT) Gaming for Good Live: Leveling Up in 2021 will be hosting this masterclass in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. They will be talking about best practices for digital fundraising by using gaming and streaming platforms. Shay Thompson, the Host of Gaming for Good podcast and Founder of Level Up Link Up, will be joined by Alex Moffat from the British Red Cross, Alyssa Sweetman from Twitch, Tom Downie from Tiltify and Andrea Goezinne from Salesforce. Talk about a power panel!

The Irvine, CA Salesforce Developer group is hosting a Release Review at 6pm (PDT) on the same day. They know that it’s been a hot minute since everyone has been talking about these releases, but now the releases are here! If you want a quick overview of the new features and then want to dive deeper on how some of these features work, then you need to sign up!

Our next event on Wednesday, March 31st is a little more niche, but still important for those in this field. Leveraging Pandemic Investments to Improve Well-being in a Post COVID World at 9am (PDT) is for those in the health IT world. The pandemic has shown that there is a needed and important connection between technology, government, and healthcare providers. If you want to learn how to capitalize on the new innovations, existing resources and investments, why this technology is still crucial, and what the state of IT health will look like in the coming months, then tune in!

Then at 11am (PDT) How to Boost Loyalty Member Activity with Actionable Insights will demonstrate how Tableau CRM delivers actionable insights to your loyalty teams. Most companies want to boost their customer activity and loyalty, and need to understand the trends behind them, especially in a pandemic world. This helps you answer the questions such as what is the most effective channel in gaining new members, Einstein’s ability to predict which members will go inactive, what is the program NPS, what is member CSAT, and common characteristics loyal members share.

Back to the spring releases, except this event is specifically for Communication Cloud! On Thursday, April 1st at 9am (PDT) Salesforce is hosting Communications Cloud: What’s New in Spring Releases ’21. These new product capabilities will help “effectively manage large, complex transactions, drive faster time to value, and seamlessly support acquisition and in-support subscriber processes.” Keep in mind this product was specifically built for CSP and Salesforce is having product experts speaking in order to help those understand the new features in this cloud.

Have y’all heard of the Discovery Series? Well if you haven’t, it’s an AppExchange webinars series for partners based around, well Salesforce apps of course! Speakers in this series talk about best practices to get your app more revenue and help you stand out among all of the other apps. This particular event occurring at 11am (PDT) on April 1st will focus on how to interest Marketing, Product and Sales teams with your app, and tools you can use to align your strategies. It is a live session, so you will be able to ask questions too. Who knows, maybe Appy will stop by to say hi!

Recap

Last week started with the 2021 Innovation Leadership Forum where Michael V. Drake, the President of the University of California, and Barbara Snyder, the President of the Association of American Universities, talked about the critical challenges and opportunities that higher education is facing today, how universities are leading through change, and how they are helping students thrive. Grantmakers learned how to build a framework for due diligence, how to clarify what information is needed from grant seekers, and both grantmakers and seekers learned how to identify the right team members to include in Both Sides of the Portal: How Grantmakers Can Reimage Due Diligence. The San Francisco Marker (Pardot) group was nice enough to host a B2B Marketing/ Pardot User Group Virtual Happy Hour on a Thursday!

The Irvine Women in Tech group hosted #IAmRemarkable Virtual Workshop which is a “Google initiative empowering women and other underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.” We got 2 in 1 event in March Methods: Salesforce Success & Science. This group meeting focused on applying the scientific method to problem solving in The Science of Consulting and utilizing Ohana in How to Network to Get Work with Less Than Expected Efforts. The San Ramon Admin group hosted March Features Mass Mailer, native Salesforce email AppExchange app plus Admin to PD1 study group to talk about learning more about the app, Mass Mailer, and how that can help you compared to Marketing Cloud or Pardot when sending mass emails.
