The time has arrived and Dreamforce is here! And Dreamforce isn’t the only event occurring this week. In fact, there are a few other notable events this week. So sit back, open up your calendars, and let’s get planning!

Starting at 6am (PST) on Monday, September 20 the United Nations Global Compact will be kicking off one of their biggest events of the year. During this 3 day event, Uniting Business Live will connect high-level multi stakeholder dialogues, local knowledge and implementation strategies, and partnership and leadership examples into an all access global event. Not only will this event be impactful, inclusive, and innovative, but will also feature guest speakers that are Chief Executives, Heads of State and Government, Heads of UN agencies, and many more! These sessions will address the state of the world, drive business ambitions on the SDG’s, and highlight cooperative and actionable solutions. There will be breakout sessions, booths, live panel sessions, and local keynotes (depending on where you are in the world). This event will be both in-person and virtual, with sessions being a mixture of each. Seeing that Salesforce is not only a sponsor, but also participates in the Global Compact, it’s definitely an event worth checking out!

Now the event you all have been waiting for… Dreamforce ‘21! Starting a few months earlier than usual, Dreamforce is going to be a hybrid event taking place both in-person and virtually around the world. And by around the world I mean Dreamforce is occurring in-person in San Francisco, New York, London and Paris! This 3 day event will kick off at 9:45am (PST) on Tuesday, September 21 with Marc Benioff and a handful of special guests! I’ve already seen the speaker list, including the likes of Jane Fonda, Will Smith and the Foo Fighters just to name a few, and I already know a few of those stars will be at the keynote speech! Both day 1 and day 2 will end around 5:30pm (PST), while day 3 will end early, around noon. The 3 dozen sessions will be available to you live and on rewind on Salesforce+, Salesforce new streaming service, and don’t worry, it’s free. If you are attending in-person at New York, keep an eye out for the MK Partners booth, or if you are attending in San Francisco, keep an eye out for Chris Stegall! If you can’t attend in-person (it was invite only), make sure to register to watch it live virtually!

Our last big event of the week is occurring on Saturday, September 25 from 9am to 12pm (PST). Oaktown Dreamin’ will be taking place virtually, with the likes of Sarah Franklin and Leah McGowen-Hare as guest speakers! This Salesforce community-led event will have a handful of sessions, including keynotes and panel discussions. I did notice on a few Salesforce sites that it was reported that Oaktown Dreamin’ would be occurring on September 23, but it’s actually occurring on September 25 (we can’t miss the last day of Dreamforce right?!). This event even has swag, so you should also check out their shop and get yourself a hoodie!

Recap

Last week we already got a sneak peak into what to look forward to in the service world in Get Ready for Dreamforce 21: Service Cloud Edition. In How to Design Tech to Promote Equitable Student Experience guest speakers from the education sector had a panel discussion on the best practices for creating equitable student experiences, and how to close the gap between marginalized and non-marginalized students. We focused on measuring the effectiveness of marketing in the consumer goods industry in the Boosting the “R” in ROI: How Driscoll’s Maximizes Marketing Investments.

Then the Trailhead Live event, Architect Academy: Vaccine Cloud at Penn State discussed how Penn State University implemented Vaccine cloud, which allowed them to reopen their campus because they could utilize contact tracing and manage vaccines. Finally, Salesforce had its first community-led event, Pakistan Dreamin’ 2021, in Pakistan and I’m hoping it went well for them! Tweet us @mkpartners and let us know what your favorite event was!

Also, make sure to let us know if you think there are any events worth mentioning and what event you are excited about this upcoming week. And, as always, we will see you in the cloud
