It’s very rare when I find events that occur every (business) day of the week. It must be because of St. Patrick’s Day and all of the luck that comes with being Irish. Also, I just realized that St. Patrick’s Day occurs in winter and not in spring… that doesn’t sit right with me. I guess I’ll hold off on a spring pun or joke until the season officially starts.

Monday is going to motivate us to start the day and week right, as the San Ramon Salesforce Admin group is hosting SheforceWIT IWD2021 — Importance of Diversity & Inclusion — Women Empowerment Globally at 9am (PST)! WIT leaders and panelists from around the world will be discussing the importance of diversity and inclusion; as the saying goes “empowered women empower women.” Additionally, they will be playing games and there is a chance for you to network. For those of you who don’t know what SheforceWIT is, it is a WIT initiative to empower women to start their careers and journey’s in the Salesforce ecosystem and it reaches over 1500 women in over 55 countries. Multiple WIT groups are hosting the event — so check your local area to join!

We are going to be thinking out of the box on Tuesday, March 16th. Digital commerce — you either love or hate it; sell it or buy it. Now if you are selling it and have that hate/love relationship with it, well The Total Economic Impact of Salesforce B2B Commerce Featuring Forrester Consulting might be able to help you. Starting at 9am (PST), you’ll hear about organizations that have implemented Salesforce B2B commerce and how they leveraged it to increase revenue, market faster, and become more efficient, helping them overall deliver better customer experiences. You’ll also get a walk through of the framework so that you can evaluate your own business.

Break out your random pieces of green clothing, cause it’s Saint Patrick’s Day y’all! And what better way to celebrate it then the St. Patrick’s Day (Virtual) Lunch and Learn about Slack! Taking place at 12:30pm (PST) Wednesday, March 17th with the Sacramento Salesforce User group, this hour and a half event will have a panel to help walk you through use cases for using Slack, using Salesforce and Slack together, integrating tools for end users, and to answer any Slack related questions. The last 20 minutes of the meeting will be dedicated to job opportunities in the area, planning for future events and any other questions you may have.

Warning: The following sentence might frighten you. The USA has been in this whole COVID-19 pandemic for a whole year now… a whole year. To the date. So Salesforce decided to throw an event in honor of the date. COVID: One Year On is being hosted by Mary Nemerov, the CPO of (one of my favorite museums) the California Academy of Science at 9M (PST) on Thursday, March 18th. This event is talking about how everything is returning back to normal, rather than the “new normal”, and what we have all learned during this year. A lot of organizations, especially places that involved entertainment or being in person have been turned upside down but also figured out what works and what doesn’t work in times like this. So if you are curious what’s to come in 2021 for these organizations and learning how you can apply it for yourself, well then sign on up!

Friday we are flying across the pond and then back. But while we are on the other side, then you should step by London’s Calling 2021! This event had to be altered last minute last year and now it’s back! It’s one of Europe’s largest Salesforce professional community events and everyone across the pond is talking about it. Starting at 9am and ending around 6pm, this event is PACKED WITH SO MANY SESSIONS! There are over 50 sessions, not including the keynotes. Good thing they are giving you time for lunch, cause otherwise you would be in trouble. There is a small fee to attend this event (yes, even virtually) but considering what you are getting out of it, it’s so worth it.

Back here in the USA, Missoula to be exact, is hosting a MFA All You Need to Know with the Missoula, MT Salesforce User Group at 2:30pm (MDT). If you haven’t heard the news yet, then you are living under a rock for one, but multi-factor authentication will be required in order to sign in to Salesforce as of February 1, 2022. This meeting is here to give you tips and inform you on what you need to know before this is required for customers and users. Additionally, our very own Chris Stegall has a video coming up (we’ll link it here when it’s live!) about MFA’s if attending an hour meeting isn’t your thing.

Recap

Last week started with the Seattle Group Meeting talking about designing lightning page layouts with dynamic forms and actions. Then in honor of International Women’s Day, How Inspiring Women Leaders Create Their Own Careers had a panel of women leaders giving advice about long-term financial success, building a work-life balance, and utilizing mentorship and sponsorship to build your career. Sales managers learned how they could help their sales team manage sales processes, help their reps skill up and a few other myTraihead tips in How to Increase Sales Rep Productivity and Hit Quota Faster with myTrailhead. Also, we had the last 2 events, Grow with Financial Services and Grow with Commercial, in the Grow with Us series for Salesforce Partners.

We learned more about donors’ habits, what prevents them from donating and how Salesforce can help in Uncovering the Online Giving Experience: A Mystery Donor’s Perspective. The Nonprofit Admin Meet-up guest speaker, Beth Saunders, talked about using Salesforce with data driven engagement. Finally, we ended with the Sac Lunch: A Casual Conversation with the Sacramento WIT group. Tweet us @mkpartners and let us know what your favorite event was!

Also, make sure to let us know if you think there are any events worth mentioning and what event you are excited about this upcoming week. And, as always, we will see you in the cloud.
