We’ve talked about our favorite new features, tweaks, and improvements coming in the Salesforce Spring ’19 Release — and now the transition is coming up fast!

The weather may still feel winter-y, and the groundhogs may not have checked for their shadows yet, but starting this Friday (February 1st) it’ll officially be Spring in Salesforce!

The release will be rolling out to orgs from Friday to Friday, the 1st to the 8th of February, and you can find out when your org will get the upgrade pretty easily. Let’s walk through it!

First, you’ll need to find out where your org’s instance is hosted. To do that, head over to Setup by clicking the cog in the top right corner of your org.

And then select Setup from the dropdown menu.

That’ll land you on your Setup page.

Now, on the left side, select “Company Settings” and then “Company Information”.

You can also type “Company Information” into the Quick Find bar and select it from there.

Now you’ll be seeing your org’s Company Information. Find the field for Instance and take note of what you see (or highlight it and copy it to your clipboard). In this example, our instance is NA59.

Great! All that’s left to do is navigate over to the Salesforce Maintenance Schedule. (Click the link in the previous sentence).

Expand the range for February, by clicking it.

Then do a Ctrl-F (CMD-F on Mac) to open your “find in page” search and copy your instance server (or type it in) and voila!

Now you know the exact date and time you’ll be getting the upgrade! In our example case, it’s February 8th at 10pm PST.

Be sure to read the release notes so you’ll know what’s coming, check out our highlights on the most exciting new features and, if you have any additional questions or want to learn more about how your specific org will be affected, drop us a line and we’ll be happy to help!

Spring’s only a week or two away, so start swapping those sweaters for swimsuits, stock up on sunscreen and, as always, keep working smart, hard, and happy.

We’ll see you in the cloud.
