When waves wash over;
Fear forever folding you
into tangled knots —

You may go under
with a broken, twisted heart
but do not forget

to loosen your grip
and let acceptance slowly
slip into your stream

and you will wash up
on a brand new shore, your heart
renewed, still beating.
