Kpod rmi removes an image from local storage. If any containers based on that image exist, the image will not be removed. The user can override this with the — force flag, which will stop and remove any containers based on the image before removing the image. If an image has multiple names, removing the image by name will simply remove the name from the image. However, removing an image by ID will remove it from storage no matter how many names it has.
