Kings Xl Punjab Vs Gujarat Lions

Kings XI Punjab did not make any big buys this year and have a new captain in South African David Miller in place of Australian George Bailey who was released after leading the side to the last place in the previous season.

Virender Sehwag has also retired and he will only be the team mentor this season.

Suresh Raina is a captian of gujarat lions.

In this season Gujarat Lions, is a new team built out of the ashes of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Gujarat Lions have a strong batting lineup, with Brendon McCullum and Aaron Finch set to provide a cracking opening.The bowling consists of Dwayne Bravo, James Faulkner and new-ball operators in Praveen Kumar, Dale Steyn and Dhawal Kulkarni. Thus this is one of the strong team in this season.

On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab has Shaun Marsh and Murali Vijay at the top of the order. Glenn Maxwell and captain David Miller will make up the big hitters. The bowling though, is more inexperienced than the Lions’, with Axar Patel, Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma and Anureet Singh likely to play alongside the retired Mitchell Johnson.
