It all started on June 25th, 2007, when a 33-year-old lady, Yekaterina Ilchenko, made her way home. Yekaterina was coming from visiting her friend that night, and the two had shared some tea.

Yekaterina’s body was discovered the next morning on the street. Her face was so badly deformed. No one could understand why anyone attacked the young woman in such a brutal manner.

On the same day, another body of Roman Tatarevich was found. The body was left on a bench near the local prosecutor’s office. Tatarevich’s murder was like Yekaterina’s murder. His face was also brutally destroyed.

A Serial Killer on The Loose

Everything seemed normal for the next few days after the brutal murders. However, on July 1st, two more dead bodies of Nikolai Serchuk and Yevgenia Grischenko were discovered in the nearby town of Novomoskovsk. The two were killed similarly to Yekaterina and Tatarevich.

On July 6th, three more victims were discovered. First, Egor Nechvoloda was attacked as he returned home at night from a nightclub. His lifeless body was discovered on the street outside his home the next morning.
