Most Hollywood studios seek out stories that center around teenagers for either movies or television series. This is because there is an audience for those stories.
And a plethora of inspiration from which to draw from real life.
As evidence, the students and faculty of Fitzgerald High School in Warren, Michigan dealt with a situation in 2018 that seemed ready-made for the Hollywood treatment.
At one time, Tanaya Lewis and Danya Gibson were friends. They studied together and would often do projects with one another. But then they realized that they liked the same boy.
Enough to end the friendship. And result in murder.
The love triangle played out in the weeks preceding the fateful morning of September 12, 2018. It was known in the school that the boy was seeing both of the girls, though most thought that Lewis and Gibson were aware of it as well.
When Gibson found out, she was furious.
