Jack the Ripper is one of the significant unsolved cases in the world. It is a case I have been fascinated with for many years. It is a crime that started my fascination with serial killers. I can’t say exactly when the obsession started, but living close to London certainly helped.

Over time murder investigation techniques have advanced considerably. Investigate Jack the Ripper today, and there would be a much higher chance he would be caught.

One of the biggest mistakes that authorities could have made was noting five kills to The Ripper. It could have been many more cases. One case which stands out was that of Martha Tabram; many people have suggested she could be his first victim.

The five women linked to Jack the Ripper named the name the canonical five.
