Chris Porco continually scammed his family without consequence and eventually resorted to unthinkable violence.
Chris Porco grew up in a strong two-parent household in Delmar, New York. He was the youngest son of Peter and Joan Porco. Their oldest son John would become a Naval officer after high school while Chris went on to college at the University of Rochester. But Chris began to display sociopathic behavior during this transition.
Money appeared to be a large part of Chris’ identity with him telling friends that he was set to receive a $2.8 million gift from his grandmother to try and impress them. When Chris was home for Thanksgiving in 2002 he staged a break-in. He stole two laptops from his parents to sell on eBay. The same thing happened when Chris was home for the summer in 2003.
While staying at his parent’s he took another laptop belonging to them and sold it. He again tried to stage it as a home invasion by cutting a screen to one of the windows. Chris worked at a veterinary clinic that happened to be robbed that same summer. A discouraging coincidence.
