She’s a woman who smiled with a motive of killing due to loneliness and life insurance money. This gave her multiple monikers — The Lonely Hearts Killer, The Giggling Nanny, Lady Blue Beard, The Jolly Black Widow, the most popular name was The Giggling Granny, Nannie Doss.

The Early Life of Nannie Doss

The lady who grew up to look sweet was born on November 4th, 1905 in Blue Mountain, Alabama. She was part of a family of 7 with 5 siblings (three sisters and a brother) from Louisa and James Hazel.

Both her siblings and mother disliked the father because he was a strict and commanding man who forced them to participate in laboring and farming activities instead of letting his children focus on school work. Because of this, Nannie Doss's school performance was unbelievably poor and she hated it.
