Rory Gene Kesinger fled her Pembroke, Massachusetts home when police Lt. Willard Boulter knocked on the door to execute a traffic warrant. He noticed her running away as she was only wearing lingerie. Something seemed to be up, so he pursued her.

The 24-year-old woman tripped over a rock, giving the policeman enough time to catch up to her. He took her back to the house and began questioning her, including about why she attempted to flee.

Her answer shocked him. Rory claimed to have been raped and was trying to escape her attacker. Lt. Boulter began to feel bad for her and tried to comfort the young woman.

Once she was calmed down, the cop took Rory to his own home. He figured they would be safe there and able to call for help.

Things did not go as planned.

After they were in the house, the lights went out. Rory got a hold of Lt. Boulter’s service pistol. When the lights came back on, she trained the gun on him and said, “I’m sorry, but I have to kill you.”

The two got into a scuffle. It seemed to be out of a movie as they fought over the gun. Eventually, Lt. Boulter got the weapon away…
