It is quite rare to find a serial killer who hasn’t beyond doubt been proven guilty of his crimes. It is even rarer to find one with who you could have a long civilized conversation, and come out of it feeling this man could barely do anything bad, let alone be a serial killer.

Yet, Charles Albright is a man who would come across as innocent to most people, until you read into the fine print of his life and saw shades of grey that were too dark to ignore.

Charles, currently aged 87, is incarcerated in the John Montford Psychiatric Unit in Lubbock, Texas, convicted of killing one woman, and additionally suspected of killing two others.

But the evidence in which he was arrested was largely circumstantial, yet a deep dive into his past leaves you believing that the police authorities and the judiciary may have had the right man behind bars, at least in this case.

Childhood and Influence of His Mother

When Charles was about three weeks old, he had been adopted by Delle and Fred Albright. Delle was a teacher and had a major role in the way Charles was brought up.
