The Unsolvable Disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa
It seems like someone doesn’t want the case solved
Researching the Jimmy Hoffa case is an interesting experience. A lot of sources that are normally reliable, suddenly become obsessed with conspiracy theories and clickbait headlines.
Why?
More clicks on a piece. Certain cases all but guarantee that readers will be intrigued by the article. But what will get the talking is if there’s something scandalous involved. And a case like Hoffa’s has all the ingredients of a pulp novel come to real life.
How does the case blend all of those scandalous things together? The best place to start is with the man himself. Because his personality and actions are a big part of everything that happened, and why there are so many facets to his case.
Many people know that he was the president of the Teamsters union from 1957 until 1971. But he had a leadership role in the organization going back further. Members loved him, even if they raised an eyebrow at some of his more underhanded actions.
It was an open secret in Detroit and across the nation that organized crime had a relationship with the Teamsters and Hoffa. He did nothing to hide them, but he did try to present an air of a respectable leader.
