During a scavenger hunt they were recording on TikTok, a pair of teenagers stumbled upon a washed-up suitcase on the rocky coast of Duwamish Head, West Seattle, on June 19, 2020. The kids had no idea what was inside, but they could sense the foul odor coming out of it. They poked at it with a stick to open it and, together with a bunch of fellow TikTokers online, they found the human remains of what would later be confirmed as the bodies of Jessica Lewis and Austin Wenner.

A Gruesome Sight

The suitcase was found near 1100 Alki Avenue Southwest in Seattle, and it was filled with plastic garbage bags that contained the dismembered bodies of Jessica Lewis and Austin Wenner. Needless to say, the TikTok video, which has since been taken down, went viral in a matter of minutes after going live.

According to the medical examiner, the victims, Austin (27) and Jessica (35) were both shot approximately ten days before the kids found them, and their bodies were dismembered postmortem. It’s curious that Jessica was shot seven times, while they discovered just one shot wound on Austin’s body.
