Chan Fung-Lan, a 22-year-old nightclub dancer took a cab around 4 am after a few drinks with her friends. That was the last time anyone saw her.

February 12, 1982

Hong Kong

It was early morning and the construction workers were getting ready to begin work. They were constructing a bridge over the Shing Mun river at Shatin. As they began their work, few workers noticed something in the water floating towards them. They were confused on what it was, but once it moved closer to them, they realised what it was, and had the biggest shock of their life.

The same day the headlines appeared on every major newspaper in Hong Kong

“Women’s head found in river”

The above headline appeared in South China Morning post on February 12, 1982.

The police officials were investigating the areas near the scene, and soon they discovered two legs, then later two arms. Totally seven seperate pieces of the body was found near the Shing Mun river. The police…
