Earth Day began with the oceans.

In 1969, an oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara, CA spurred the modern environmental movement, including the creation of the EPA and Earth Day. This year marks the 50-year anniversary of that spill and to … celebrate(?) we’ve rounded up some of our favorite environmental shows, including our own Drilled. Drilled launches its second season today, and follows a community on the front lines of yet another oceans vs. oil battle as they decide to become the first industry to sue Big Oil.
