I stumbled upon this article and thought of our 3D printing adventures from last semester. And Diamond Alexander, you’d enjoy this story!

3D printed food is happening! Inventor Giuseppe Scionti is prototyping a 3D printed steak made of rice protein, pea protein, and algae fiber. It takes about 10 minutes to print and 2 minutes to cook. Scionti says the vegan steak is still a work in progress. His goal is for the final product to have the same texture and appearance as a beef steak.

It’s amazing how things have progressed in the design and food industry! It opens up so many possibilities for future generations. It’s exciting to be a part of.
