DC to HOME

Today was the official last day of the trip, and it was basically just a travel day. We were officially ready to go home, driving some 12,000 miles in six weeks will do that to you. We left in the morning at about 10am. We wanted to be home before 6.

We were planning on stopping in Philly to have lunch with our friend Malu. After a few missteps on both ends we finally met up at the White Dog Cafe. It was a good (and expensive) lunch. We finished lunch and then headed into the final stretch, doing our best to avoid the NYC traffic we took 287 to 87 and then finally hit NY state. A final pit stop at a rest area and within two hours we were home. We touched down at about 7:30 and that was it folks. Six weeks, 12,200 miles, and 30 plus states later we had done what we had set out to do. See our country, and take a few good Instagram pictures.

Thanks for spending the last six weeks with us. To see videos from the trip head to YouTube.com/FortySixFilms.
