We are happy to announce today that Cross The Ages “TCG Runner” game is live on our official website.

This mini-game aims to give an insight on the core mechanics of the CTA card game pior to the game launch. It will also be a new and entertaining way for our community to win the Whitelist spot of the Arkante edition NFT packs .

What is “TCG Runner”

“TCG Runner” is an Infinite Runner in the Pixel Art game. It is challenging and addictive (no ending, increasing difficulty and instant game over in case of mistakes).

There are seven characters from the Cross The Ages Arkante universe and contains three stages. Players, through this Runner, will unknowingly learn some of the basic principles of the card game: Type Advantages/ Disadvantages, cooperation between Allies, as well as Awakening in Alternative and Alternative Combo.

How to play the Stage 1

The player will start by choosing one of the 7 available characters. Each character has its own elemental affinity ( fire, water, nature, light, air , and darkness).

The game will then display a top view. The character is at the bottom of the screen and vertical scrolling starts. In the upper left corner of the screen, a gauge is visible and to its right a score. In the upper right corner, the distance traveled is displayed.

The goal here for the player will simply be to avoid the obstacles/malus and collect bonuses.

The more bonuses he collects, the more points he has, the more the gauge increases and the faster the scrolling.

Obstacles/malus are a condition of defeat. They put an end to the game.

The particularity of the game here is that the obstacles/malus and bonuses depend on the type of the character chosen by the player.

Thus, if the player controls “ Brinhold”, which is an air type, the bonuses will be items of water or nature type ( gain many points) and the obstacles/malus will be items of fire or earth type (defeat). The rest of the items will be “Neutral” and will earn only a small amount of points.

This introduces the player to the typical advantages and disadvantages of the card game.

We will update the game play information on Stage 2 and Stage 3 when it releases in the next couple of weeks.

Two ways to access the game

Depending on whether you are on a computer or a phone, the connection instructions are different. Please read the part that concerns you.

COMPUTER:

Access the game from any browser via our website (news section) or directly using the following link : https://tcgrunner.crosstheages.com/
Log in with your MetaMask wallet account and sign the message on the metamask window that pops-up. (NB: chose the account you want to be eligible to win a whitelist. Do not use an already whitelisted account or an address you already used for minting in previous presales sessions.)
Indicate your Username / Email address. Then click on “Ready”.

Make sure you are on the correct account you want to use in the game.
To be able to log in to the game, use your in-app wallet browser (not your native mobile browser) to go to our website news section or the following link : https://tcgrunner.crosstheages.com/
Click the Login button.
You will be asked to sign the Metamask connection message. Upon confirmation you will be invited to indicate your Username / Email address.
Then click “Ready”.
