We launched our Open Beta on September 23rd as a placeholder for the Early Access, in order to improve the bridging system between Polygon and IMX.

This event is already a great success and is proving to be very insightful. We have received a lot of feedback from all kinds of players and were able to fix many bugs thanks to your reports!

We hope you enjoyed our game despite the issues you may have encountered. Our team is working hard to stabilize everything this week.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you can download the game on our website by creating a free account (https://www.crosstheages.com/). It is open to everyone and you will be able to try out most of the cards from Season 1.

The Open Beta also includes a tournament for the 10 first players on the ladder, it will last until the EA is ready to go. Once the EA is ready, we will shut down the Open Beta, reset everything and launch the EA in the following days.

The EA will be launched in stages:

You will have more than 12 hours to:

  • Make a game account
  • Bridge your pack (premium or standard)
  • Download the game

Once this stage ends every premium pack holder will be able to open their pack, make a deck & play.

Standard pack holders will have to wait until either 1,000 premium packs have been opened or 4 hours have lapsed.

We have staged the launch in order to make sure that everyone will be available and ready to open their pack and have a fair chance of receiving one of the first cards. As you now know, every card is numbered depending on when the pack is opened.

All rewards in the cards will be disabled for the first week in order to allow every holder the chance to open a low-numbered card. In addition to this, crafting will only be available the week after. To compensate for this we will significantly increase the number of cards available in the free rotation for the first week.

But when is all of this happening? Our Early Access will launch on October 12th!

We would like to remind you that the first 10,000 premium packs opened will contain an alternative combo card ONLY obtainable this way.

Game Wallets

Following our last videos, you sent us a lot of questions regarding the game wallets.
I will go through the main topics here.

We decided to add a game wallet that is custodial in order to easily onboard people from Web2, and also to simplify the user experience (UX) mostly on mobile phones.

This decision was not simple, as I promised we would never engage in custodial work on our own. We will make an official announcement on who we partner with in the next couple of weeks.

This decision will allow any player to benefit from all Web3 experiences including the secondary market, NFT airdrop (CTA token holders), exclusive cosmetics such as animation levels of cards, etc. Without needing in-depth knowledge of crypto, while retaining the possibility to play actions like crafting in just one click.

But what if I want to own the assets directly in my wallet?

For this use case, we decided to allow players to make withdrawals from their game wallet to any wallet. In order to reduce the incentive to funnel cards from multiple accounts to a main and prevent Bots and Whales, we initially thought of applying a fee (in CTA token) depending on the rarity of the cards.

After following discussions on the matter through our channels, we agreed it would be best for most of our players, if we applied a fixed price of 1$ like with the minting, instead of having a fee in $ ranging from 1$ to 20$.

To compensate for this, you will have to spend “Trisel’’ that you obtain by playing the game (mostly winning duels but also in missions) depending on the rarity of the cards. The exact amounts of Trisel will be communicated when this feature is released.

Do keep in mind that this system is mainly for P2P trading and that it has no impact on what most players will use, i.e. the marketplace. In this case, only the usual fees from the protocol/marketplace/NFT will be applied.
