Editors Note: Turning Inward

This issue has come at a time when change is in full swing. We look back at the past year and forward to the new filled with emotions ranging from joy to fear. We also enter the season of winter, Jan- March which on the Medicine Wheel is a time of turning inward and of healing. The weather slows us down with the cold, snow and rain. Night comes early and we want to travel less and the question becomes what do we do?

This is a time of nursing your inner soul, your emotions and your physical body. A time of tuning inward and leaving the world behind to repair what has been worn down from the previous year. Emotions such as fear, sorrow and anger drains and robs you of your joy. This is a time to look deeper into who you are and deal with the things about yourself that feed or enable these emotions and begin to heal and clear out what no longer belongs.

Fear has it place but when taken to extremes it can paralyze us, sending us on a path of constant negativity or worse yet keep us from making choices that would prove worthwhile if we took a leap of faith. Sadness and anger can take us down a rabbit whole that pits us in a life or death situation with ourselves and others.

In this edition of Crossroads we delve into various ways to look at and move trough Fear, Sorrow and anger. we also talk of how fear can affect the body and ways to support it through TCM. Here you will fine two moving stories, I invite you to come over to the online version at www.crossroadshealingmag.com and read the many articles we have that can help support and improve your life.
