How to write a travel blog
These days, it seems that everyone wants to travel and explore places. Are you from one of them? If yes, then just do one thing go and travel with your camera as well as if you feel enthusiastic to write a travel blog and are finding the opportunity to make money online while following your passion for travel then you have come to the right place!
If Helen Keller can look at life as a great adventure, what excuse do the rest of us have? This line rings so true for travelers. So, it is not only about taking, it is about enjoying and absorbing the beauty of the world.
“I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on earth. Then I ask myself the same question” — Haran Yahya. You know what I mean, this quote speaks a thousand words, so just stand, pack your bags, travel, explore, do blogging, and make your wallet delightful.
Start with researches
Before you begin writing a travel blog, the first idea should be for researching true facts about which place you are writing. Give people some ideas on how they can do the same by letting them know how you got there, where you stayed, how much it cost, types of available transportation, the price range of all activities, what time of year you traveled, the best place for breakfast, where to find cheap hotels.
These things people want to find out while they are researching a destination. These things you should put into your travel blog post!
Have a focus or “hook”
When I was in the 8th standard, I had gone Jammu & Kashmir and spent 5 days there. When I returned home then I had loads to talk about but when I will get the chance to write a travel blog then I will only focus on one thing at a time and will also split my blog posts into different themes such as —
• Snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas
• Staying in Jammu hotels
• Experiences of Dal Lake
• Rajma chawal of Jammu
• Nightview of Vaishnodevi
Use attractive photographs
You know what, a photo speaks a thousand words and this is actually, travel blogging is.
For example — We can take an example of Rishikesh. We all are familiar with that exquisite sights. But once, we see mesmerized photographs then we can’t resist ourselves to go there. So, each and every blog post should have at least some beautiful images of unique views that people can fascinate more.
Conduct interview
Seek out opportunities to conduct interviews with local residents, business owners, etc. It will give your visitors a secrete look at that area and interviews are a great way to enlarge your blog’s authority and diversify your content. It also provides good stuff for your blog and helps to make you more appealing to tourism sponsors. If tourism sponsors like what they see, they may offer you free travel perks — or may offer opportunities to monetize your blog.
Cultivate engaging posts
In order for readers to find your blog valuable and keep coming back with extra organic traffics, your writing styles should be engaging, honest, simple, positive, informative, and spicy. Add posts on a regular basis so that audiences fully enjoy your blog and stay connected with you.
Think for a moment, about what makes you engage. So, just try to spark your experiences with the audiences, you have to share every little piece of information about the place — worthy statistics, facts, examples, researches, etc. so that people can relate and understand more about the place and will always wait for your next blog.
Begin networking on social media
Once, your travel blog is complete — now it’s time to begin networking on social media. Social media! One of the most lovable platform for everyone nowadays. Up to 80% of the time, people spend online. If you want to reach 50,000 people in one day, you don’t have to wait for someone to run your promotion and your publicity. Because there is no platform like social media that can give you success overnight with only your great content.
Social media plays a vital role both in marketing your travel blog to travelers and in networking with others within the travel community. One can start engaging and increasing their followers and can show the importance of travel professions on social media.
Make money with Travel blog
So, you can use your blog as a resume to get freelance writing work and it turns your writing into money. Try to work as a managing virtual assistant for other blogs and can become an affiliate for almost anything. You can also start freelance writing, content creation, social media management and can sell your photos on stock sites, these help you to find paid campaigns and make a pretty good passive income as well.
We looked at the best ways to start your content. This time, we are turning our attention to the equally important conclusion. It may come last, but your ending should never be an afterthought.
Feel free to give your valuable comments below so that I can feel amused in further writing.
