In a game of association, words like “revolution,” “radical,” “progress,” and “liberation” consistently evoke images of the Bay Area: Berkeley sit-ins, Black Panther community breakfasts, Haight Street hippies, Occupiers, anarchists, protests, riots, love-ins, etc.
