It is indeed a time to think outside of the box. As most of us are working from home and are staying indoors, the consumption of Social media has definitely gone up. So, if you manage Instagram accounts, are a small business owner or a creator this is the time for you to use the power of Instagram to stay in touch with your tribe.

We’re living in the times where artists and poets are going live and entertaining the world, giving us hope. So, what can you do?

Teach something, share interesting positive messages, use the stickers and work with the Instagram algorithm by using your Stories. Also, go live!

Remember — This is not the time to keep going as usual and acting as if nothing has happened. But, it is also important that you don’t go and just try to capitalise this opportunity. It is not an opportunity. It’s a fight and the internet has given us a medium to unite, spread positivity and help each other.

5 Things You Can Do On Instagram Right Now

1. Use your Stories to teach something

Yes, it can be something you know or you’ve learned. And you don’t have to teach something on your own, you can collaborate with your friends and followers to do it.

Dakshinadyanthaya shared a Story asking his followers if anyone would volunteer to teach languages via Stories. And boom within a few days there is a schedule, these Stories are going out, people are learning new things and engaging as well.

2. Use IGTV videos for longer tutorials

Some things need longer tutorials. For example — creating art, cooking etc. Also, as going out isn’t possible a series of workout videos can really be helpful.

The rule of thumb is if you can’t teach it in a few Stories, create an IGTV video.

3. Go live with friends/ experts, friends who are experts

We all have friends who are great at what they do and you might be good in your field, this is a good time to do lives on each other’s feeds. This will give you exposure to a wider audience and it would be nice to share your knowledge.

4. Use your posts to spread positivity

When posting on your feed, make sure you post information and positive content. This is really important to keep our general mojo up.

5. Leave kind comments

I cannot stress how important this is. It is not a time to just broadcast. It’s time to uplift each other and say all the nice things. If you see an image that deserves a compliment, do it. If you see a Story where you think you can reply, do it and do it with all your heart.

We’re in this together and together we can do anything 💛

If you have some more ideas, please leave them in the comment section.
