We started CrowdJustice because we want to use the power of technology and the strength of communities to make the law accessible to everyone, no matter their income. CrowdJustice allows communities to band together, increase awareness of their issue, and raise funds to support legal action when an issue affects them.

Our first case

Our first case, the David and Goliath battle of Gilberto Torres v BP and others was 50% funded in three days — and 100% funded two weeks before its deadline. This is a groundbreaking case in more ways than one. We are excited that our backers have had the chance to support it, and to be updated as his case progresses.

Our next cases

Cases soon to be live on CrowdJustice involve important community issues such as the treatment of our elderly and disabled communities, protection of public spaces and the preservation of our environment. Please stay tuned and keep spreading the word — CrowdJustice is only possible when we pool our efforts, energy and resources together!

Our blog

We’ll be blogging from time to time about our cases, access to justice and the law. We’ll be sharing the fresh perspectives of guest bloggers, people from all walks of life who are also passionate about effecting change and building a more accessible judicial system.

Our first guest blogger, Doug Paulley, is a tireless campaigner for disability rights. Look for his take on pursuing social justice in a climate of declining access next week on CrowdJustice.

And one more thing…

Until then — go social with us as we build our CrowdJustice community one click at a time. Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook! Send us feedback, comments, and questions at info@crowdjustice.co.uk.
