Crowi v1.6.0
Support I18N, improved diff view, and update some functions.
Hi Crowi users, this is a major update of Crowi. This couple of months, we’ve developed I18N version of Crowi and finally I’m very happy to deliver the new version for you.
Let’s see some points of Crowi v1.6.0 updates.
I18N
The whole UIs are translated to English. (in some screen of admin functions, there are still some Japanese pages. I’ll handle it little by little.)
The language is selected automatically by your browser or OS settings. And also you can find the language selector on your settings page.
To achieve it, a lots of support from Mercari’s translator team were provided. Very very thank you @hids.
However, we currently only support English (US) and Japanese, and we still have some issues of time zones and the language of the page content. We’ll keep working on it.
Improved diff view
You can see the new diff view from History tab. Brand new legible design like GitHub.
And also full of green-diff appeared for the first revision.

Updated search functions
Supported “minus” search. Enter the text with ‘-’ to the text area, you can search with exclude words.
Upgrade your Crowi
- Crowi now requires node 6.x, so before upgrade Crowi please prepare node 6.x environment.
- Supported ElasticSearch both of 2.x and 5.x. Mapping settings is updated, please rebuild the index from admin page after Crowi upgraded.
- Upgraded some of dependent packages.
