From football player to firefighter

Charlotte expects big things from the Carolina Panthers this season, fresh off their trip to Super Bowl 50. No one is more excited about football season than Charlotte firefighter Kemp Rasmussen. Before he worked for the city, Rasmussen played defensive end for the Panthers. He played a fifth season with the Seattle Seahawks before an injury ended his NFL career.
Rasmussen said he enjoys the physical aspect of being a firefighter, as well as the camaraderie among his colleagues. He continues to play football for the Charlotte Cobras, a semi-pro football team made up of police and firefighters in the Charlotte area. Watch the video below to learn more about the former NFLer.
