XCLT awarded for excellence

Last night, the Centralina Council of Governments (CCOG) awarded the Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT) the Region of Excellence Award for its effort to improve quality of life in the region.
The XCLT is a collaborative effort between the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County to construct a 26-mile trail stretching from Pineville to the Cabarrus County line.
In the video below, Dan Gallagher of the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) details why the XCLT received this honor and how this project will positively impact our community.
