1. Launched fairly from 0 (no pre-mine, no ICO) as a Bitcoin fork in 2014

Nearly 6 years after, Bitcoin is still by far the largest, most secure and trusted blockchain in the world. With the upcoming update to BTC core 0.17, Crown is gaining all BTC capabilities while going its own “Platform” way.

2. Implemented a Masternode Model and governance/voting model in 2016 and 2017

Masternodes and Systemnodes = dedicated and motivated users. The Crown Platform uses highly secure servers called “nodes” to produce blocks, facilitate CRW payments, provide cryptographic proof of data integrity and host user applications. Masternodes also have a voting right in the Decentralized Governance Proposal System (DGPS), which chooses the direction of the platform and self-funds its development. Crown would not have survived the last few years without the DGPS.

3. Transitioned from POW to an industry leading Masternode-POS model in 2019

After running an AUXPoW blockchain for years, where BTC miners also mined CRW safeguarding its “little brother” blockchain, the community shifted the direction towards its own, industry leading mechanism called Masternode Proof of Stake. This move handed the full responsibility of the project into the hands of the Crown community. Giants like Ethereum and other top coins are currently in the process of moving to their own PoS systems, confirming our direction.

4. Developed a proprietary Non Fungible Asset (NFT) framework to tokenise assets in 2020

Blockchain tech needs to be backed by intrinsic value. The NFT (non-fungible tokens) framework is a registry subsystem which enables the community to register physical or digital assets on the Crown blockchain. One nice and clear example of the future of NFTs is the streaming / gaming industry, where players trade their in-game items like weapons, sports cars, etc — locked in NFTs for substantial amounts. But the NFT applications are endless as we can see from the attitude of crypto celebrities starting to talk about the huge opportunities being unlocked in this space.

5. Real people are building the CRW blockchain for years, not cool guys who raise money and build what they think is momentarily hot in the space.

Real people need to build the new economy which is slowly rising thanks to the blockchain industry. It is a path which will take many many years; there is no shortcut.

Blockchain contributors from a variety of backgrounds, industries, countries and with their own stubborn ideas need to coexist, cooperate, and talk to each other in order to decide how a new, better world should look like. Then get into the game by building blockchain-powered applications, marketing their ideas, failing and then at the end of the day succeeding. That is the only right, natural way.

Lets go, Crown!
