The Cuban community presents Crown Platform and teaches the world a lesson on the potential of decentralised p2p cryptonetworks

The Cuban Community has been contributing to the Crown project for a long time by growing the engagement, creating designs, and discussing in the spanish language chat about the world and cryptocurrencies. Now they strike back with a videoclip that explains how the internet works, why it is centralised, and the role that peer-to-peer networks like Crown play in this context.

Watch the full video here with English subtitles

Some of the points made in the video are the following:

  • the internet infrastructure is centralised and in the hands of a few corporations and in some cases governments
  • Due to this, not everyone, depending on geolocation, has equal access to this infrastructure or to the means to finance a connection. While Cuba is very near to transatlantic undersea cables, the enterprise ETEC S.A. holds monopoly over internet access and controls the information volume available.
  • Most services on the internet follow a client-server structure
  • Crown is a p2p network and a project that re-decentralises the internet offering different services through its nodes that can change the life of many who have very limited access to information or money/cryptovalues.
