- Ashot has been focused on the NFT-glitch rather than the Bitcoin v0.17 codebase update. His own wallet encountered the problem and he had to reindex with Artem’s hotfix code to see what difference that made. He is adding lots of extra diagnostics to the client to help narrow down exactly what the problem is with the NFT information in the platform database and hopefully what causes it.
- Investigating the NFT glitch is giving Ashot a good insight into the NFT code and increasing his understanding to the point that will make it easier to write the technical documentation we need for developers to build on the NFT framework. It will also help him assess the viability of creating an NFT-based deterministic, on-chain governance system.
- Community developer Zhen made some additional changes to Insight for the Bitcore NFT adaptation. Are there any community members interested in helping out with testing?
- ElectrumX is syncing OK now but the Electrum wallet fails to connect to the server. This was always a possibility and the developer is investigating why.
- There is no progress on the NFT trading design specification documentation.
- We’re well aware the NFT-glitch is causing pain to community members and node operators. We believe that disabling NFT operations would prevent the problem from occurring. If the root cause isn’t identified in the next two weeks we will ask the community whether we should disable NFT operations until the problem is resolved. The question will be asked via a proposal in the Crown Decentralised Governance System.
