1. Non-mandatory Crown Core 14.0.4 update released

Version 14.0.4 includes the following changes:

  • It resolves the issue where the client would get stuck during signbypayer registration transactions. This issue occurred when syncing past blocks, during the validation process of the NFT registration transaction.
  • The problem stemmed from the inability to find the spending transaction in the blocks on disk or in the mempool, as it was located in the same block being verified.
  • The solution involves a unique case for ‘signbypayer’. When the transaction is not found in the blocks on disk or mempool, the system should search within the block being verified. To do this, it is necessary to send a reference to the current block.

Please download the latest client, and update your nodes: https://gitlab.crownplatform.com/crown/crown-core/-/releases/v0.14.0.4

2. ETH network integrated in NFT app

The NFT minting application was updated with the following changes:

  • Compatibility with the Ethereum network.
  • Possibility to switch networks dynamically and mint & view on the preferred network including test networks.
  • Support for Ethereum ENS Names and ENS avatars on the profile page.
  • Now each collection can have its custom minting page to adapt to the different requirements of each use case.
  • Visual improvements and error corrections.

3. Monty Adventures NFT drop date set

Make sure you check out the new website monty.wtf

From a Telegram sticker set to Monty Adventures. Long-term contributors who have been around the Crown Platform project for a few years are aware, that the MONTY story officially began with the Crown community NFT competition in May 2020, during which a sticker set for Telegram and Crown discord was created and introduced by Kali. Later a Twitter poll was held throughout the Crown community to find a name for the newly created character, and among several cool name ideas, Pothead (a name which was proposed) was selected. Later some voices from the community argued that the name Pothead might be negatively associated with the word pot, so the current team selected a new name: MONTY.

There was a knight as unusual as his name, Monty, who had earned a spot in the whispers and rumours of taverns. He wasn’t famous for his bravery in battle or his romantic conquests, but for a peculiar activity: he stole chickens.

This is how the story of the new NFT collection inspired by Crown Knight begins. These are a key points to remember:

  • The Adventures of MONTY are a collection of 100 Genesis, unique, gamified and story driven NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • Ownership includes creative & commercial rights of your MONTY + future utility with the game release.
  • As A FULLY OPTIONAL feature for holders, it will be possible to teleport your MONTY NFT to the Crown Blockchain NFT platform.
  • Since trading is not enabled on Crown NFTs yet, the main idea is basically a bet that the Crown Platform blockchain will keep developing, and one day it will be possible to transfer your MONTY.
  • Holders who will teleport the MONTY NFT to Crown will get all the future mints for the MONTY project FOR FREE.
  • Minting date set on July 2nd 14:00 CET
  • About 20 whitelist spots were allocated to selected Crown contributors, cost is 0 plus network fees.
  • Mint price for public: 0.025 ETH plus network fees

For more information please read the FAQ on the Monty.wtf website. Also, make sure you follow Monty on Twitter and Tiktok for latest info and regular updates of the project.

See you at the end of August and enjoy your holidays!
