I blinked and winter arrived.
It’s unusual for my city to have snow so late in the year. Usually by Halloween there’s measurable snow on the ground, in skiffs near steps and against houses. This year we’ve been blessed with a long fall, long enough to almost forget what it’s like to have to dig your car out.
