Arthritis and Snow

I blinked and winter arrived.

My snowy backyard

It’s unusual for my city to have snow so late in the year. Usually by Halloween there’s measurable snow on the ground, in skiffs near steps and against houses. This year we’ve been blessed with a long fall, long enough to almost forget what it’s like to have to dig your car out.

This year the snow arrived over the course of two days. We went from bare trees and frosty grass…
