Bored and Looking for Something Useful and Profitable to Do?
Here’s my unboring approach to life in my early 60s
Boredom is a thief. It sneaks in when you’ve nothing meaningful to do, sucks your energy, and leaves you feeling stuck in the mud. I know because I’ve been there.
One of my best friends is wealthy but not healthy, bored out of his mind. He’s in his 70s, and despite his money, he’s poor in purpose. I see it all the time — boredom hits hardest when people run out of reasons to be curious, creative, or valuable.
I can’t stand boredom. It feels like a slow death. And the worst part? Bright, talented people settle for it all the time.
But here’s the good news: You don’t have to. Boredom isn’t a problem when you change the way you see yourself.
The Artist’s Secret: Curiosity and Purpose
I beat boredom thirty years ago. I was in my late twenties, sick of working for others, and determined to carve my path. So, I built small businesses.
The moment I started seeing myself as an artist, boredom couldn’t touch me. My art was building small service and consulting businesses that create cash flow without the headaches and stress.
