I had a decision about when to retire from a position I had enjoyed.

For me, to consider retiring would be a life-changing decision. When pulling the plug and walking away from a job we love is difficult for most of us.

I was not tired of my job, but, I had to face my age, I was seventy, and it was time to allow a younger person to enjoy my position.

I had set a date for retirement, but my health forced me to leave a few months sooner than I had planned. Why did it take a health condition to do what I should have done sooner?

By the way, my health has been good since I retired. Now, I’m enjoying a more relaxed time with my wife, family, and friends.

What stands in the way of making the decision?
