Finally! At 65, I’m Following My Advice on Healthy Living
The builder’s house is always the one in need of the most repair.
For years, I’ve been going on about the benefits of exercise and healthy eating, especially for the over-60s and how small changes can have a long-lasting impact on health and longevity.
The problem was, I didn’t listen to my advice.
Sure, I knew what I was meant to do, but I wasn’t the best at doing it.
I did my twice weekly HIIT circuit classes and tried to eat healthily, but somehow, the old ways always crept back in because they were …. well, a lot more fun and a lot easier to follow.
But in recent weeks, I’ve been making a concerted effort to change all that. I think it was a direct result of coming back from our cruise.
We’d opted for the drinks package and spent the week drinking far more than we would ever do at home.
One cocktail before dinner? No, it had to be two.
Drinks at lunchtime? Why not?
Dessert wine? Of course.
Cocktails after dinner? It had to be two or more.
After all, we’d paid for them up front.
