Finding Love After Heartache in Your Golden Years
In search of one more chance
I’ve always been a hopeless romantic.
My history of love took some twists and turns, but I loved truly and madly and felt that love in return. I know I’m fortunate to be able to say that.
Some people give up on love by choice. Past hurts keep them from pursuing what seems close to impossible: finding a person to spend the rest of their lives with. Others have given themselves to love, tried it, and settled for less than they desired to have a mate and become a couple.
Having known valuable and joyful love and then lost it after three decades, I could not imagine living the rest of my life without it. So, I started on a long and arduous road to find that forever partner again.
My readers know my multiple stories of online dating, meeting very few men in real-life situations, and being “fixed up” with someone’s friend, brother, and even father — good men with too many issues, scammers, players, weirdos, and just plain liars. I believe I’ve written at least 20 stories about my adventures in the abyss of being single and over 65.
I’m sorry to say I had zero success. A proper mate has alluded me.
