Summer is ending once again and as the long days turn to fall we are hearing about high school reunions. My 45th high school reunion is coming up Saturday. I have 80 pounds to lose and so many things to do prior to our reunion day.

I really debated whether to go. I looked to Medium writers for advice, coming to grips with the impending event.

Some adults, having suffered through their four years of high school would never spend a dime or their time returning “home” to see people that abused, ignored or ostracized them. While some bullies may have learned compassion as life continued, some ignorant people remain the same obnoxious idiots we knew at 18.

wrote a fabulous piece which removes the guilt about not wanting to return to reminisce with high school classmates. Why would he spend time with people who he hated in high school and who tormented his life to this day? I loved his insights:
