I Am Tired of Young People Complaining About Baby Boomers

It is as if the younger generation doesn’t think we have the right to be here.

That’s right! I said it! The younger generation is complaining about Baby Boomers.

I just read an article about how Baby Boomers are hogging the largest homes with three bedrooms or more, even if their kids are grown and they don’t need the space. Their homes are usually paid for or have a low-interest rate mortgage.

So, these Boomers who worked hard all their lives so they could live in a nice house should give all of that up so the younger generation can buy their house?

Where do they suggest these Boomers go? It sounds like they think we should take a one-way trip to the local nursing home even if we are in good health and have sound minds.

My question is this: If we sell our houses, where will we put our kids when they move back in?

Think about how many multi-generational families there are and how many grandparents are raising their grandchildren. How can we do this if we give up our homes?

If we do sell our houses, what are our options? My friends just moved into an apartment after selling their home. They are in their mid-seventies, and so far, they like it…
